Your Responsibilities

As our local HR Lead, you will be the most senior HR representative in our largest location and you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business in ensuring a positive experience for our employees. In this country‑level role, you will be responsible for leading and continuously strengthening the HR function in the Philippines while ensuring full alignment with the global HR strategy of our fast‑growing, client‑centric organization.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources based in Zurich, Switzerland, you will act as a trusted sparring partner to the local General Manager in Manila, local leadership, and international stakeholders. This role requires a seasoned HR leader with strong business acumen, excellent people‑management skills, and deep knowledge of the local market, who can balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.

You will play a critical role in supporting sustainable growth, driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance and risk management, maintaining the company’s reputation locally, and fostering a positive, high‑performance, and inclusive company culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the full spectrum of HR functions in the Philippines, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, talent development, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the local senior management and remote line managers, providing guidance on labor law, people management, organizational changes, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local HR team (2 direct reports), fostering a high‑performance, collaborative, and service‑oriented HR function.
  • Shape and execute local HR strategies and programs in alignment with global objectives and business needs, contributing HR insights and data to support decision‑making and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements, proactively monitoring regulatory developments and partnering closely with Finance and external providers to manage risk and reporting obligations.
  • Serve as a culture ambassador, strengthening employee engagement, supporting managers through change, and promoting transparency, trust, and alignment with company values across the organization.
  • Partner closely with the global HR team to translate and implement global HR strategies, initiatives, and policies locally; actively contribute Philippine insights to the continuous development of global HR frameworks.

You Offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or HR certification from a reputable organization is an advantage.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including several years in a senior HR management or country‑level HR leadership role, ideally within a multinational organization with cross‑border reporting structures.
  • Deep expertise in Philippine labor law, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices, with proven experience handling complex employee relations and compliance matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with strong coaching, people management, teamwork and stakeholder‑management skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with full professional fluency in English (written and spoken); the ability to communicate confidently with senior leaders in an international setting.
  • A business‑oriented mindset, with the ability to translate business needs into pragmatic HR solutions and to balance strategy with hands‑on operational delivery.
